What stays on your device
The current app has no sign-in. Your optional needs profile, dining personalization choices (noise, lighting, crowds, seating, food, culture and ownership preferences), private “How did it feel” visit notes, private trip reflections, saved trips with checklists, checklist ticks and saved city suggestions are stored only on your device and are never uploaded by Rooted Roam. You can change or clear individual choices and checklist ticks, delete individual visit notes and saved trips, and clear reflections and other saved items with the app’s controls.
Sharing or printing a day card happens only when you choose it through your device’s own share options. Private visit notes, reflections and profile choices are left out of the card unless you explicitly include them. Any app or service you send the card to has its own privacy practices.
The app does not automatically send your profile or checklist to us. No analytics or advertising SDK is present in the audited prototype. We do not sell your data or use it for tracking.
Exchange rates
The currency tool requests public exchange rates from Frankfurter’s ECB provider. It sends the selected base currency, not your profile, plans, notes or calculator amounts. A web request exposes your IP address and ordinary request information to the service. The service’s logging and retention practices have not been confirmed in this draft.
Suggestions, corrections and support
City suggestions are saved locally. Sharing or opening an email draft happens only when you choose it. A draft is not sent automatically. If you send an email, we receive your email address, message and anything else you choose to include. Please leave out sensitive or personal travel details.
Support emails are used to respond and investigate, then deleted within 30 days.
Links to other services
Venue and booking links open outside the app when tapped. Their privacy practices apply there. Nothing is booked automatically. The website itself loads only local files; its contact links open your mail app. The eventual website host may receive ordinary request information.
Clear local information
Use the app’s clear controls for the information they describe. Deleting the app removes its local app data; reinstalling starts without that local data. Device backups and restoration are controlled by your device settings. Deleting the app does not delete email you already sent.
